Meet The Artists

Katherine Jenkins

Katherine Jenkins is the world’s most prolific classical crossover artist. Since launching her career in 2004, the Welsh Mezzo Soprano has sold in excess of seven million albums.

Best known from her unique interpretations of popular songs, operatic arias and hymns, Katherine, from the tiny village of Neath in the Welsh Valleys, is also known for her long standing work with the British Forces Foundation, for which she is a trustee, that has led to her being referred to as the Forces Sweetheart.

An internationally recognised figure, Katherine at the age of only 31, has become an ambassador and inspiration for millions of people around the world.

When she was still only 23, Katherine signed what was said to be the biggest ever UK classical recording deal and was soon outselling such operatic giants as Kiri te Kanawa and Angela Gheorghiu.

The deal came after she had sung “Una voce poco fa” from Rossini’s The Barber of Seville at an interview that she had been invited to by her then record label Universal.

Her stratospheric rise has made Katherine the fastest selling soprano ever. Having released eight studio albums, she has won various BRIT awards and broken countless records with her albums going platinum around the world.

She has performed with Placido Domingo, had lunch with the Queen, and become a regular fixture at Remembrance Sunday, there is nothing quite like Katherine Jenkins.

Having worked with internationally renowned producers including David Foster and John Shanks, Katherine’s unique and timeless vocals have defined the genre.

In the UK, she has also reached a whole new audience, including many younger fans coming on board for the first time, thanks to her appearances as a mentor in two series of ITV's Popstar To Operastar. 2010 also saw her land the guest star role in the Dr Who Christmas Special

Together with Katherine's appearances on prime-time TV hits like The X Factor have all helped change the perception of classical music and expand the audience for the crossover style pioneered by Katherine since her debut in 2004.

In the US Katherine is a contestant on Season 14 on Dancing With The Stars, where she opened the season with the highest ever debut. Winning praise from across North America – the Los Angeles Times said she has “an infectious personality” to The Examiner proclaiming that everyone was “buzzing about her”, Katherine’s unique talent is unstoppable.

Cherished as one of Britain’s favourite singers, Katherine has now become one of our greatest musical exports.

Nathan Pacheco

Nathan Pacheco is an American singer/songwriter born in Virginia, and is of Brazilian descent. He was a featured vocalist during the 2009 tour for "Yanni Voices", produced by Walt Disney Records and is currently signed to the Disney Pearl Series sub-label.

Nathan graduated from the music program of Brigham Young University, and also followed his love of culture and languages by continuing his education abroad in South America and Europe. Nathan spent more than two years in Brazil, being immersed in its culture and allowing its influence to contribute to his musical development. He eventually traveled throughout Brazil, performing both classical as well as some of Brazil’s cultural music. He also spent time in Italy, studying the language while performing with the Opera Festival of Lucca. In all of these adventures to different countries, he was relentless in his efforts to learn the languages. The result is his ability to speak and compose in English, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish.

After auditioning for producer Ric Wake, who then introduced him to Yanni, Nathan began putting lyrics and additional music to some of Yanni’s most famous works, such as “Adagio,” “Tribute,” “Almost a Whisper,” “Enchantment,” “Secret Vows” and “In the Mirror.” Upon completion of the recordings with Yanni, Nathan gained national attention as the featured performer in two PBS television specials, which have been broadcast throughout 2008 through 2010. Nathan then joined Yanni and his orchestra as a featured performer on a 100 concert tour throughout Latin America, Canada and the USA.

In 2009, Nathan relocated to Southern California after being signed to the Disney Pearl Series label and has been writing the songs that will make up his debut solo album. Nathan has collaborated with many writers under the direction of producer/composer Leo - Z (Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban). For his album, Nathan recorded with the Philharmonia Orchestra in London at Air Studios.

In 2011, Nathan did the operatic bridge for the song "Let's Talk About Me" from The Muppets and has been touring with Welsh mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins.
